This is a video from Scotland.  There are a few communities such as this one that and it shows that although wind turbines don’t always produce consistant energy, they are an excellent way to reduce your electricity bill.  The following video description is taken directly from Youtube:

Hugh Piggott is a pioneering creator of recycled wind turbines. He has managed to power and maintain an entire community on Scotland’s north-west coast where he runs courses teaching wind turbine construction to students from all over the world.

Thanks for talk about this. Good blog post on your site. I was checking your posting and I have bookmark your blog done.

  2. Man that’s cool. I love DIY – it’s such a cash saver and … like they say if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.

To use green energy and build your own solar system, this is the stuff you need to know. thanks for that.

  4. Your idea is really a breath of fresh air compared to the usual rubbish I read on solar panel technology. Several frauds around. Thank you for helping me out.

Great blog. After performing some researching myself, I deduce that it basically makes perfect sense to get started in making my own alternative energy. Most folks isn’t going to for the reason that they possibly don’t be aware of exactly how or they come to feel that they aren’t confident enough to do so. I have chosen to begin searching into solutions on how to create my own home solar panels as I feel that I can easily significantly lower my monthly energy bills even though I’m certainly not much of a tool person myself. Nevertheless looking at the total sum I can help save is just too considerable not to look into it. Compliments on your blog once more! Keep up the good work here!

I’ve been into environmentalism for 20 some odd years now. I’ve always wanted to find a way to reduce our usage of the electrical grid, which I’ve done to some extent with a few solar panels, but I can’t really afford anything that would power the whole home. I’ve been looking into building a cheap magnetic generator (here is one example I found, but I’ve been wondering how hard it would be. Have you had any experice with this or others?

It’s past time to stop using foreign oil! Maybe we will always need some oil, but we just have to stop depending on Middle East oil. There are 3 fairly easy things that all of us can do now to make a difference. 1- Stop pumping gas into your car! If you have a gas guzzler now, convert it into an electric car (see this blueprint for example). No more gas! 2- Stop using electricity off the electric grid! Either build solar panels (like this one), or build a cheap magnetic generator (like this one). Not very hard! 3- Learn to bike or walk! If you are only going a mile to the shop, walk or bike there. My 2 cents.
